SATURDAY AUGUST 24, 2019
Parkway Block Dance Reunion and Car Show
Parkway Center on Burrstone Road
All Utica area Baby Boomers and earlier should remember the Block Dances that were held at the Parkway Ski area in the Fifties and the Sixties! We want to revive that era – the music, the dancing, and the great times we had with friends from all areas of the city. A “Block Dance Reunion” is being organized along with some new events. It will be co-sponsored by the Military Order of the Purple Hearts and will be a fundraiser for all Veterans!
We are looking for people interested in joining the committee to help make this a huge success. We are also looking for any musicians or bands that played at these dances that would like to journey back in time to entertain us with our favorite hits from the 50’s and 60’s!
The event will be at the Parkway Center which is air conditioned and has indoor restrooms. Food trucks will be available and a large tent with tables and chairs will be setup for your convenience.
A Car Show will be held from 9am-3pm. All cars, trucks and bikes from 1980 and earlier are welcome.
The Dance will begin at 5pm and last until 10pm.
